Surgery - Thoracic Physician Assistant

Cardiothoracic Surgery PA Locums Job in Connecticut Scheduled Hours + Call Beginning July 12 - Ongoing Assignment

Coverage Details
8-hour days, Monday-Friday
Potential call and 24-hour shifts
Duration: 6-12 months

Requirements
Board Certified - NCCPA
Active Connecticut license
1+ year of experience
ACLS
BLS
Must be able to start by mid-July
Must be able to cover multiple sites
Local candidates only
EPIC experience - Preferred

Required Procedures
Central venous and dialysis catheter placement
Arterial line placement
Endoscopic vein retrieval
Intra-aortic balloon pump placement (experience required)

Required Duties
Pre-op physical exams
Suture removal
Diagnose and treat illnesses
Order and interpret tests
Assist in surgery
Write prescriptions
Coordination of care
Rounding

Practice Setting
Covers multiple sites within region
Average 10 patients per day
Level 1 trauma center
Autonomous practice environment (no supervising physician on-site)
Patient population: Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric
No new grads
