Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

Coverage Needed

Start Date: 07/12/2026
End Date: 6-12 month contract
Schedule: 8-hour days (Monday-Friday), weekend coverage, 24-hour shifts
Call Schedule: potential call and 24-hour shifts

Clinical Details

EMR System: EPIC
Practice Settings: Inpatient only (coverage across two sites)
Patients Per Day: 10
Trauma Level: Level 1
Will be working autonomously
Patient Age Demographic: Adolescent/Adult/Geriatric
Required Duties: Pre-Op Physical Exams; Suture Removal; Diagnose Illnesses; Treat Illnesses; Order Tests; Interpret Tests; Assist in Surgery; Write Prescriptions; Coordination of Care; Rounding
Required Procedures: Placement of Central Venous and Dialysis Catheters; Placement of Arterial Lines and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps; Endoscopic Retrieval
- No balloon pumps

Requirements

Board: NCCPA (Board Certified)
Certifications: ACLS; BLS
Licenses: Connecticut
Epic experience - Preferred
1 Year of experience
Able to Perform All Required Duties and Procedures
Start by middle of July
Must be able to cover both locations
