Resource Nurse Operating Room – Outpatient Surgery Center, Sunset Hills BJC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Resource for a nursing job in Chesterfield, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Resource Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing Employment Type: Staff Additional Information About the Role New surgery center will open 10/9/2026 Staff training will begin 6–8 weeks prior to opening date Clinic hours: 7:30A–5:00P 5/8 hour shifts Monday–Friday OR start time: 6:30A May occasionally staff rooms Keep track of preference cards Work with OR vendors Assist with on‑boarding and precepting 5 ORs and 4 GI procedure rooms BSN and OR experience required Ortho experience preferred Ortho recon background helpful No call, holidays or weekends Responsibilities Circulate and scrub for assigned specialty and OR procedures. Serve as liaison between specialty physicians and hospital. Review and maintain physician preference cards from assigned specialty. Maintain proper function of equipment in assigned specialty. Serve as clinical preceptor/mentor for orienters and existing staff introduced to the specialty area, providing clinical experience that promotes growth and competency. Present training sessions on new equipment and instrumentation for nursing and technical staff members when the need arises. Provide feedback to management regarding staff evaluations. Manage inventory of specialty supplies to maintain par levels. Review specialty case cart supplies and custom packs for accuracy and cost effectiveness. Meet with vendors and serve as liaison between them, management, and the physicians.
