Associate Director, AI Next Frontiers for Patient Engagements

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks an Associate Director, AI Next Frontiers for Patient Engagements to lead AI transformation and execution roadmap for patient support services across key therapeutic areas. Purpose The Associate Director will lead the AI transformation journey with a primary focus on elevating the patient solutions and experience through strategic AI application for an outstanding, patient-focused fulfillment and adherence experience. You Will Be Responsible For Lead day-to-day relationships and projects with leadership across PECS, brand sales and marketing, Media, Advanced Analytics, Data Science & Engineering, and IT to shape and evolve the patient solution roadmap. Serve as end-to-end product owner and single point-of-contact for AI/ML solutions supporting patient support services (including Patient Engagement.AI) for the chosen therapeutic area. Partner with HCC, privacy, and legal to ensure compliance and patient confidentiality are core of all solutions. Identify and quantify the most significant problems across the patient journey to determine when and where to intervene to improve start and adherence to therapy. Lead ongoing use‑case‑driven evaluation of data sets and methodologies to improve predictive capabilities. Determine impact of solutions and programs through leading and lagging indicators, establishing measurement framework, and conducting A/B testing. Advocate for change and foster progress in new ways of thinking about the role of AI within patient support services. Qualifications / Requirements Minimum of 8 years of relevant business experience in healthcare, analytics, data science, marketing, management consulting or related field. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred. Experience handling budget responsibility of over $2M annually. Competencies Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment. Prior experience integrating and analyzing healthcare claims, electronic health records, lab results, specialty pharmacy, SDOH/consumer, and patient hub data. Hands‑on use of AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) with concrete examples of efficiencies achieved. Hands‑on experience in predictive analytics and machine learning techniques and real-world applications preferred. Demonstrated experience driving adoption and sustained usage of AI solutions in field. Outstanding employee coaching skills and ability to lead and develop a team. Intellectual curiosity and passion to learn new things and adaptability to shifting timelines and priorities.
