Legal Assistant

Primary Objective Under general supervision, performs responsible and varied legal secretarial duties and administrative detail in the office of the County Attorney. Essential Duties Prepares and types a variety of correspondence, petitions, warrants, judgments and sentences, affidavits, evidence memos, subpoenas and motions. Maintains schedules of court appearances and notifies officers of court dates. Maintains case files and gathers required reports and documents. Schedules appointments. Downloads evidence. Scans and enters reports into case management system. Handles mail. Notarizes documents. Responds to public inquiries. Runs errands. Answers phone. Greets visitors. Deals with law enforcement agencies, other attorneys, and the courts. Other Duties Fills in for others; performs related duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr
