Position Overview

\n

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist In Charge to oversee the daily operations of a retail pharmacy in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of retail pharmacy management experience , strong leadership skills, and a current Florida pharmacist license.

\n

Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.

\n

Schedule

• Monday–Friday

• Typically between 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
\n
• Ensure prescriptions are appropriate, accurate, and legally compliant.
\n
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and maintain an organized, efficient workflow.
\n
• Manage medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, labeling, storage, and expiration monitoring.
\n
• Counsel patients and provide appropriate medication-related information and guidance.
\n
• Prepare and dispense medications using correct dosages and procedures.
\n
• Maintain accurate patient profiles and medication records.
\n
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Fraud, Waste & Abuse requirements , and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
\n
• Ensure pharmacy staff follow organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
\n
• Lead, supervise, and support pharmacy technicians in their daily responsibilities.
\n
• Assist with performance evaluations and communicate staff performance or behavioral concerns to senior management.
\n
• Develop and manage pharmacy technician schedules, including coordinating leave requests and medical accommodations with senior management.
\n
• Utilize the pharmacy's patient management system effectively.
\n
• Perform other duties as assigned.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Active Florida Pharmacist (PharmD) license required.
\n
• Candidates whose Florida license is still in process will not be considered.
\n
• 3–5 years of retail pharmacy management experience required.
\n
• Previous pharmacy leadership or supervisory experience.
\n
• Previous retail pharmacy experience.
\n
• Proficiency with pharmacy patient management systems.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and team-management abilities.
\n
• Fluent in both English and Spanish.
\n

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
\n
• Ability to use hands to handle, control, and manipulate pharmacy equipment and products.
\n
• Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.

The ideal candidate is an experienced retail pharmacy leader who can effectively manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, lead pharmacy technicians, maintain regulatory compliance, and provide excellent patient service in both English and Spanish .
