We are actively seeking dedicated Paediatric Community Nurses to join our team to provide specialist nursing care, clinical oversight, and support to children with complex healthcare needs in the comfort of their home environment. Key Responsibilities: As a Paediatric Community Nurse with Coyle Homecare, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care to children with complex needs. You will be expected to fulfil the following responsibilities: Deliver specialist paediatric nursing care within homecare packages. Provide safe and effective management of tracheostomy care, including emergency management. Carry out airway suctioning and provide respiratory support where required. Manage oxygen therapy, monitoring, and escalation of any concerns. Provide PEG and Jejunostomy (JEJ) tube care and administer enteral feeds. Administer medication and complete clinical observations. Monitor the child’s condition, identify signs of deterioration, and take appropriate action. Conduct regular visits to care packages to provide clinical oversight, quality assurance, and support. Review care plans, risk assessments, and clinical documentation to ensure they remain up to date. Support, mentor, and complete competency assessments for healthcare assistants and support workers. Provide guidance, education, and reassurance to families and carers. Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams and escalate any safeguarding or clinical concerns appropriately. Maintain accurate and timely records in line with Coyle Homecare policies and NMC standards. Key Job Requirements: To be considered for the role, candidates must meet the following requirements: Registered Children’s Nurse (RSCN/RN Child) with an active NMC registration. Previous experience caring for children with complex healthcare needs. Competency and practical experience in: Tracheostomy care. Airway suctioning. Oxygen therapy. PEG feeding and Jejunostomy (JEJ) feeding. Management of complex respiratory and nutritional needs. Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently within a community setting. Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and healthcare professionals. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to community-based travel.
