We provide quality solutions for our clients and employment opportunities to qualified talent. Job Summary Huitt-Zollars is seeking a Corporate Safety/HR Intern. This intern needs to work anywhere from 25–30+ hours a week. The safety/HR internship will support day-to-day health & safety-focused/HR tasks and responsibilities which may include safety documentation, assisting with safety program updates, write-ups, and compliance efforts regarding audits, reporting, proper filing, college recruitment assistance and corresponding with potential new hire candidates. This position will work within the Corporate Human Resources department located in Dallas, Texas (zip code 75240) and is an in-person internship with no opportunities for telecommuting. 25–30+ hours a week in person required. No relocation provided. Must be willing to locate temporarily for internship or local candidates only. Location: Dallas, TX (in-office, full-time). Reports to: Chief People Officer/VP Human Resources. Duties / Responsibilities Assist with updating safety documents, policies, and training materials. Maintain safety training schedules and follow up on missing or incomplete records. Process safety paperwork including incident reports and compliance documentation. Support ongoing safety initiatives, audits, and regulatory requirements as needed. Review candidate resumes and conduct phone screens as needed. Clean up physical and virtual HR files and documents. Assist with college recruitment coordination and preparation. Help with any other HR-related tasks as directed. Requirements Current local (North Texas) student studying in an accredited Safety, Human Resources, Business Management (or equivalent) higher education program and is seeking a future career in Safety/Human Resources. Will consider non-local intern candidates who are willing to locate on their own and report to our Dallas, TX office each week throughout their internship. No relocation or living assistance is provided. Any relevant safety certifications such as OSHA 10, may be given greater preference during selection, but is not required. Must be available to work in the Dallas office 25–30+ hours per week during internship. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to take direction and be resourceful. Willingness to take on a variety of tasks, some of which may be heavily administrative in editing manuals or other record‑keeping activities related to safety or HR. Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times including moving and organizing files and file boxes. The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities. Perks Competitive hourly wage.
