Location: Lake City, FL
Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday
• 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  Contract Type: 13+ weeks contract to hire or direct hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders accurately.
• Perform and oversee sterile compounding tasks in compliance with USP standards.
• Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations ensuring quality and safety.
• Review medication profiles for safety concerns including allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
• Maintain cleanroom standards, aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring to meet regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, medication safety audits, and continuous process improvements.
• Manage compounding, batch, quality, and regulatory documentation meticulously.
• Assist with inventory management, including controlled substances and overall pharmacy operations.
• Support development and implementation of pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training programs.
• Engage in staff meetings and professional conferences to stay current with industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding under USP, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations, or 3-5 years of sterile compounding experience.
• At least 1 year of recent inpatient hospital experience is required.
