Job Opportunity: Neurologist

Our organization is a physician-led multi-specialty group with over 650 providers, currently in search of a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologist. We are looking for a dedicated professional who values a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.

This role focuses on inpatient consultative care, specifically for stroke and general neurology patients at our Time Sensitive Emergency Level 2 Stroke Center located in Nampa. This facility is part of a comprehensive system based at our Boise campus. The Nampa hospital, which is a high-acuity community hospital with 106 beds (set to expand to 224), currently manages an average of 11 strokes and 30-35 DRGs monthly.

As a Neurohospitalist, you will collaborate closely with Intensivists, Hospitalists, and Emergency Physicians. The Nampa facility is designated as a Level III Trauma Center and holds Time Sensitive Emergency classifications for Stroke, Cardiology, and Trauma. Neurologists will have access to various diagnostic and patient care services, including:

• EMG capabilities in both clinic and hospital settings
• EEG with web-based interpretation
• Transcranial Doppler (TCD)
• Botox injection services

The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute fosters teamwork among a diverse group of specialists, including neurosurgeons, vascular neurologists, neuroradiologists, neuropathologists, neuro-otolaryngologists, physiatrists, neuro-ophthalmologists, and oncologists based at the Boise campus. Boise is recognized as a State Comprehensive Stroke Center, while Nampa holds a Primary Stroke designation.

The work schedule for this position consists of a 5-day work week, with shifts from 7 AM to 4 PM. Stroke call will be during regular shift hours, with no weekend or night call required.

Our well-established neurology outpatient clinic and inpatient program in Boise includes tele-stroke services staffed by vascular neurologists and stroke coordinators. Additional support comes from interventional neuroradiology and endovascular neurosurgeons, offering services such as:

• Biplane angiography
• MRI/MRA
• CT/CTA
• CT perfusion
• 4-vessel angiography
• Interventional stroke and aneurysm procedures

Nampa utilizes Boise SARMC for triage and advanced services.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency training program in Neurology
• Fellowship in Neurohospitalist Stroke, Neurovascular, or related fields is advantageous
• Board certification or the ability to obtain certification within three years of employment
• Eligibility for Idaho medical licensure and privileges at Saint Alphonsus and affiliated hospitals as required
• Valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA
