Diesel Mechanic – Gloucester City, New Jersey Job Ref: 41251 DIESEL MECHANIC OPENING WITH A LARGE LOGISTICS COMPANY IN GLOUCESTER CITY, NEW JERSEY.
PAY RANGE: $23-$27 HR
MUST HAVE TWIC CARD AND LOOKING FOR SOMEONE ON OVERNIGHTS AS WELL. 6 DAY WORK WEEK 8-12 HOUR SHIFTS Job Description: Crane Mechanic Key Responsibilities Perform various tasks to maintain vehicle functional condition: Inspecting and testing equipment; Complete preventative maintenance, such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, replacing filters, etc.; Repairing engine failures; Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; Replacing parts and components; Listening to and understanding operator complaints Verify vehicle capability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems. Maintain equipment records by documenting service and repairs. Possess a basic knowledge of parts and parts ordering. Advance career knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, etc. Upkeep vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Utilize safe working practices and obey all company safety policies. Able to work satellite sites no further than 10 miles travel distance. Opportunities for training and job advancement available. Requirements Must possess a valid TWIC card Ability to lift 50+ pounds 2+ years automotive or equipment mechanic experience OR Technical School diploma Union Benefits This position is represented by a union, which may offer a comprehensive benefits package to its members.
