Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-time This opportunity is for full-time (36 hours per week) Registered Nurse (RN). The position offers full benefits and a convenient schedule of two weeknights 7pm – 7am plus every other Saturday & Sunday 7pm – 7am. This position also qualifies for a $12,000 sign-on bonus, paid in increments: $1,000 after 90 days, $1,500 after 6 months, $2,500 after one year, $3,000 after 18 months, and $4,000 after 2 years. Job Duties Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients throughout the healthcare continuum. Uses nursing process as a problem‑solving model and demonstrates mastery of clinical skills related to patients’ mental health and physical health needs. Facilitates patients and families’ right to receive safe, quality, and cost‑effective care while maintaining confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and information. Demonstrates commitment to meeting the learning needs of patients and families; utilizes appropriate resources to meet those needs and achieve positive patient outcomes; assists in creating an environment that promotes educational growth opportunities for nursing peers and colleagues. Demonstrates respect and understanding for peers and other clinical disciplines and participates as an effective member of the patient‑care team to formulate an integrated approach to care. Qualifications Job Requirements: Graduate of an accredited college or university of professional nursing. Current NC State Nursing License (or compact state). Minimum one (1) year experience in nursing. AHA CPR & First Aid certification. Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, and interventions with patients; ability to accurately administer medications and treatments, monitor and record responses and side‑effects, safely implement special treatment procedures, and assist with education of patients and families in medication and care management. Knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology including therapeutic relationships & processes, age‑specific growth & development, limit setting, crisis & behavior management. Required body mobility to accomplish essential functions: sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, kneel, walk and stand often, frequently speak face‑to‑face or on the telephone, write legibly and grammatically in English, express and exchange ideas verbally; perform non‑violent crisis intervention and interact professionally with all program staff, patients, visitors, attending physicians, and department representatives.
