eDiscovery Analyst

This position is for a hands-on eDiscovery subject-matter expert within a Legal Department. The role involves partnering with attorneys and paralegals to support litigation, claims, and investigations involving electronically stored information (ESI). The primary responsibility is administering and optimizing the eDiscovery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support eDiscovery matters throughout the discovery lifecycle, including preservation, collection, ingestion, processing, review, analysis, and production.
• Partner with legal teams to translate objectives into practical eDiscovery workflows.
• Administer eDiscovery matters, including project configuration, user permissions, review workflows, and reporting.
• Coordinate the ingestion and processing of ESI, and troubleshoot data issues with technology groups, counsel, or vendors.
• Develop and execute search, filtering, and analytics strategies, including technology-assisted review (TAR).
• Support document review and production workflows, including redaction, quality control, and exception handling.
• Coordinate electronic data collection from sources such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Develop and maintain repeatable eDiscovery procedures, templates, and training materials.
• Maintain expertise in eDiscovery technology and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Manage multiple concurrent matters and changing priorities effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Five or more years of experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, legal technology, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience supporting complex litigation or investigations through multiple phases of the eDiscovery lifecycle.
• Practical experience with a leading eDiscovery platform such as Everlaw, Relativity, or a comparable platform.
• Understanding of eDiscovery concepts, including ESI preservation, metadata, document families, and production workflows.
• Experience administering, configuring, or serving as an advanced user of an eDiscovery platform.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, project-management, and organizational skills.
• Communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience administering or managing matters in Everlaw.
• Experience within a litigation-focused law firm, corporate legal department, or eDiscovery services environment.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 information sources and collection technologies like Microsoft Purview.
• Experience supporting complex litigation, investigations, cybersecurity incidents, or privacy matters.
• Experience with technology-assisted review, predictive coding, or AI-assisted eDiscovery workflows.
• Paralegal or litigation-support experience providing a practical understanding of litigation processes.
• Relevant professional certification such as CEDS/ACEDS, RCA, or a comparable eDiscovery credential.
