ARISE is looking for an Accounting AssistantPosition Summary: Supports department with daily needs and specifically support Accounts Payable position with ability to provide coverage as needed.Position Responsibilities:Prepares bank deposits and delivers to bankAssists with offsite vendor payments to Spectrum, AT&T, and possible various others as neededDistribution of weekly accounts payable checksVendor maintenance and upkeep in AP softwareBack up for Accounts payable coding, invoice entry, check and ACH distribution.Month end report distributionFiling, scanningVarious month end /year end closing tasksSkills:Detailed orientedAbility to work independentlyProficiency in working with numbersAbility to view computer screens for several hours at a timeAbility to problem solveExcellent communication skillsQualifications:Prefer 2-3 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping workProficiency with Excel, data entry, and computer technologyWork location: Syracuse - Onondaga CountyHours and days: Monday-Friday 8:00am -4:00pmCompensation: $18.00 -$20.00 per hourNon -Exempt40 hours per week, including one-hour paid lunch #J-18808-Ljbffr
