About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Academic Information Technology to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the academic technology ecosystem. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive university-wide academic technology strategy that is aligned with institutional priorities and the academic mission. This role involves leading the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of technology services that advance teaching, learning, research, and academic administration. The AVP will also be tasked with ensuring that academic technology services comply with accessibility standards, cybersecurity requirements, and relevant regulations. Applicants must have a Master's degree in a related field, with a preference for a doctoral degree, and at least 10 years of leadership experience in information technology within a higher education or complex organizational setting. The role requires a deep understanding of academic and instructional technology, as well as experience in managing technology budgets, strategic planning, and large-scale implementations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, fostering innovation, and promoting service excellence. Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build high-performing, customer-focused teams and to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
