Job Summary The Child & Adolescent Therapist provides outpatient behavioral health services to children and teens, partnering closely with caregivers to support emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. This role conducts clinical assessments, develops and implements individualized treatment plans, delivers evidence‑based psychotherapy (individual, family, and/or group), coordinates care with internal providers and external partners (schools, primary care, community agencies), and maintains timely, accurate clinical documentation. The therapist also supports crisis planning, care transitions, and participation in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to ensure safe, effective, and goal‑driven care. Job Qualifications Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field from an accredited program Active Arizona licensure (LAC/LPC, LMSW/LCSW, or LMFT) in good standing (or eligible for licensure if applicable to role) Current Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain prior to start) Minimum 2 years of clinical experience providing therapy to children/adolescents (preferred) Training and/or experience with evidence‑based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT skills, TF‑CBT, play therapy‑informed approaches) Demonstrated skill in assessment, treatment planning, intervention, and outcome monitoring Strong communication skills (verbal, non‑verbal, written, and oral) Excellent customer service, professionalism, and family‑centered care approach Job Specific Duties Conduct biopsychosocial and risk assessments for children/adolescents and incorporate caregiver input Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans with measurable goals Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy utilizing evidence‑based practices Collaborate with caregivers to reinforce skills, improve family functioning, and support treatment adherence Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members and external partners (e.g., schools, pediatric providers, community programs) as appropriate Develop safety plans and provide crisis intervention within scope; facilitate appropriate higher levels of care when needed Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries) Participate in team meetings, case consultations, supervision (as applicable), and quality improvement activities If you are passionate about helping children and families thrive and are seeking a supportive team environment to grow your clinical skills, we welcome your application. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC Phoenix roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices.
