Sheet Metal Fabricator
Sheet metal fabricators will apply their sheet metal skills and knowledge to fabricate for residential and commercial HVAC job applications. Essential functions include forming, cutting, and bending metal to create fabricated units accurately. Welding and insulating assemblies in a safe and efficient manner. Performing additional production and warehouse duties as needed in the production process.
Qualifications include knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication, and general shop processes. Ability to perform basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Experience with sheet metal shearing is a plus. Familiarity with press brakes is a plus. Forklift experience is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position operates in a typical warehouse environment, offering a pleasant and safe working atmosphere. However, it may involve occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises. The role requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 150 lbs. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods and perform bending and kneeling on a daily basis.
This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
