Position Summary The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist – Cardiovascular (Cardiovascular Community, Knoxville, TN) is a field‑based role that drives demand for BMS medicines, enhances the customer experience through in‑depth scientific dialogue, and builds credibility with regional thought leaders and community physicians. The specialist prioritizes safe and appropriate product use while achieving business results and exemplifying BMS values. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Promotion Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner. Create demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients. Continuously grow and maintain a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas. Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans. Use available tools, such as SOPHIA, to derive insights and dynamically inform call plans. Provide feedback on tool experience to enable continuous improvement. Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue Present information to HCPs using approved scientific resources and publications, ensuring medical accuracy. Conduct in‑office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discuss product‑related scientific information consistent with label. Organize external speaker programs, selecting speakers from the approved list and facilitating scheduling and logistics. Maintain expertise on emerging data for approved indications. Engage real‑time medical support through Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions and complex inquiries. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Collaborate with other field teams to ensure the best customer experience for HCPs. Gather and share relevant insights and information internally with stakeholders to improve service to customers. Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern BMS conduct. Required Qualifications & Experience Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nurse. Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to physicians. Experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers and their influence networks. Experience in cardiovascular preferred. Strong account‑management skills, superior selling competencies, and a proven sales performance record. Capability to work effectively cross‑functionally with a positive team mindset. Excellent selling and promotional skills demonstrated through a performance track record. Maintain high integrity and judgment to navigate role requirements in compliance with BMS policies. Compensation Overview Field – United States – US$124,090 – $150,370. The range is for full‑time employees. Incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility. Final compensation is determined by experience.
