As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor entry points, manage badge and visitor access, and help support a welcoming, security-related environment for patients, staff, and guests. Pay Rate: $17.50 - $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, access control protocols, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help manage authorized access, verify credentials and/or visitor permissions, and report unusual activity or access concerns according to site guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with hospital personnel, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, access issues, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
• Document incidents, visitor activity, and access control events accurately and promptly, and share relevant information with supervisors and/or site contacts in accordance with post procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Security-related experience of 1 or more years is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
