About the Role:
Solace Hospice & Palliative Care Inc. is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Administrative Volunteer to join our team in Saint Charles, IL. Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to hospice staff, including filing, data entry, and document management
• Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and empathetic manner
• Assist with scheduling, appointment coordination, and calendar management
• Prepare and organize patient care materials, mailings, and informational packets
• Support front desk and reception duties as needed
• Assist with special projects, community outreach efforts, and volunteer program activities
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times

Requirements:

• Genuine compassion and sensitivity when working in a hospice or palliative care environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to fulfilling scheduled volunteer hours
• Ability to pass a background check and comply with health screening requirements
• Prior administrative, clerical, or healthcare experience is a plus but not required
