Summer Law Clerk

We are seeking a dynamic candidate for a Foreclosure Summer position. The position will be responsible for researching law, investigating facts, and preparing documents to assist Lawyers. The candidate must possess clear communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as a strong desire and willingness to learn. The candidate must be confident in their ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment, be computer‑savvy, and be comfortable working with multiple monitors in a paperless workplace. Responsibilities Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes. Investigate facts and law of case to determine causes of action and prepare the case accordingly. Manage deadlines effectively and efficiently. Handle other details in preparation for hearings. Prepare legal documents, develop strategy, and arguments in preparation for presentation of case. Draft and revise complaints, motions, discovery requests, and other documents; prepare pleadings, discovery and responses well in advance of deadlines. May accompany associates or partners to court, mediation, or depositions. Follow litigation policies and procedures. Meet standards of procedural knowledge. Review correspondence, pleadings, and miscellaneous notices.
