Exciting Opportunity for an Acute Travel RN - PCU in Marquette, MI!


Join a dynamic team at a leading 225-bed specialty care hospital located in the heart of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. With renowned departments including Heart & Vascular, Cancer, Brain & Spine, and Behavioral Health, this is your chance to work in a facility that prioritizes patient-centered care and innovation.

Position Highlights:


- Unit: Cardiac IMCU
- Trauma Level: 2
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: Cardiac and Stepdown
- Openings: 3 positions available
- Shift: 12-hour shifts; 7 PM - 7:30 AM
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: Only if census is low

Certification and Experience Requirements:


- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in PCU or stepdown
- Float Requirements: Yes

Unit Information:


- Number of Beds: 36
- Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 for cardiac patients; 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown
- Equipment: Telemetry monitoring
- EHR System: Cerner
- Supervisors: Calleigh Gomoll (Manager) and Cherlynn Erickson (Director)

Patient Population:


- Focused on cardiac patients with trauma and stepdown level of care
- Common diagnoses include:
- Chest Pain
- VATS
- Stroke/TIA
- Pre & Post Open Heart Surgery
- Pacemakers
- Heart Blocks
- Vascular Conditions
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)

Ideal Candidate Profile:


- Must Have Skills/Experience:
- Cardiac patient populations
- Knowledge of chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, and cardiac drips
- Experience in cardiac stepdown


- Preferred Skillset/Experience:
- Familiarity with PCU/Stepdown patient populations
- Low-level ICU skills


- Personality Fit: Teamwork is essential!

Dress Code:


- Scrub Color: Blue or Navy
- Unacceptable Attire: No blue jeans
