Job Title Sales Associate Job Location Columbus, OH 43224 Summary This position primarily assists customers in their purchase of company products and services through a variety of duties related to customer service, inventory, and sales order processing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Handles all aspects of customer service (internal and external customers alike) Handles customer and employee issues and communicates to management any issues that need addressing Assists with inventory to and from the warehouse and sales floor Promotes a positive culture within the department/store Works with customers to ensure a positive shopping experience Handles inbound calls Provides and collects required paperwork and forms following ATF guidelines, ensuring accuracy and completeness Makes and maintains required paperwork Quotes price and describes features of product items Emphasizes sellable features, credit terms, and prepares sales orders Stocks products on the sales floor Cleans and organizes work areas Enforces safety, health, and security rules Adheres to all company policies and procedures Performs any other duties as required by management Accountability Accountable for sales and quality control. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic, compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs. Computer Skills: Knowledge of Inventory Software and Order Processing Systems. Physical Demands Regular duties include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally more than 100 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and handling cash. The job also involves the use of hands, arms, and frequent movement. Visual tasks include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustments. The environment may involve exposure to explosives, moving mechanical parts, fumes, weather, extreme temperatures, and moderate noise levels. Equipment Used Cash register, computer, vacuum cleaner, light cleaning implements, step ladder, mild cleaning chemicals Essential Functions / Physical Requirements Standing for extended periods, lifting packages, performing light cleaning, stocking and straightening merchandise, typing data, handling cash, checking ATF forms and layaways.
