Purpose of the Role

As an Assistant Store Manager at Aesop Highpoint, offered as an 18-month contract , you will be responsible for the overall success of your business via operations and stakeholder relationships in conjunction with your Store Manager. This temporary vacancy arises as our current Assistant Store Manager progresses into our esteemed Retail Development program, highlighting Aesop’s commitment to internal career pathway progression.

Working full-time on-site on a Sunday–Thursday roster, you will be responsible for choreographing the daily activities of a team of Retail Consultants driving sales and identifying key areas of opportunity to support and elevate your space. The successful candidate will be a skilled professional, able to grace this role with diligence, passion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

What we are looking for

• Management experience within customer, retail or hospitality service environment

• Proven track record of effective selling skills and ability to drive commercial outcomes in a retail or hospitality environment

• History of successfully leading and coaching a team, creating an inclusive and psychologically safe work environment

• Demonstrated ability to utilise empathy to manage interpersonal relationships

• Open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectives

• Strong communication, problem-solving, commercial acumen and merchandising skills
