Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Job Description The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in various Intensive Care Units, step-down units, Intermediate Care Units (IMCU), and the Emergency Department (ED) for ICU holds/borders. The RN will float as needed and will be expected to adapt to the unique needs of each unit while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care. Responsibilities Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician. Utilize the nursing process to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to individualize patient care. Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to nursing practice standards. Manage patient assignments, with a ratio not exceeding 1:3 when assigned to any unit. Be available to float mid-shift to different units as necessary based on patient needs. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required). Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ICU setting (No new grads). Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License (Required). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required). NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (Required).
