Senior RecruiterNext 150 Construction is seeking a Senior Recruiter to lead the recruitment of highly skilled self-perform professionals, including field leadership, superintendents, project engineers, project managers, estimators, and craft-related operations talent. Through a consultative partnership with business leaders, this role will develop and execute divisional and national recruiting strategies that support the current and future workforce needs of our self-perform operations. The Senior Recruiter plays a critical role in building strong talent pipelines, elevating the candidate experience, and ensuring Next 150 attracts and hires the best possible talent. You will protect and promote the interests of both Gilbane and the client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal characteristics of a developing leader.ResponsibilitiesDevelops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment processProvides high-level consultation and support for recruitment and staffing managementBuilds targeted pipelines for "experienced hires" that draw high-quality, diverse applicant pools to meet upcoming needs and maintains regular contact with possible future candidatesPromotes diverse candidates; provides coaching and training to hiring managers and interview panels to identify and mitigate biasKnows the current events of local/national/international competitors, bringing market intel to Hiring Managers and the recruiting organization and makes recommendations on how best to adjust our recruiting approach across the enterpriseLeads the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position and conducts regular follow-ups with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementationMaintains all pertinent applicant and interview data in the applicant tracking system and posts openings in other appropriate venuesManages the use of external recruiters including contract management and negotiationActs as an ambassador for Gilbane's employer brand both internally and externally not only through the usage of social media but by attending local and presenting professional/industry meetings in order to develop and maintain contacts; This may include participating in the development of marketing collateral for recruiting purposesEnsures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policiesCoaches and mentors less experienced team membersSupports a positive and inclusive work environmentQualificationsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in human resources, Business or related field preferred5-7+ years' experience in the A/E/C fields and international experience are strongly preferredBi-lingual (English and Spanish) is highly preferredTravel up to 25% may be requiredOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESUnderstanding of recruiting principles and best practicesCustomer service oriented, with exceptional communication skillsUnderstanding of their assigned region or sector's construction marketplace, including sub-regional markets, is highly preferredStrong listening and facilitation skills, with the ability to gain group consensusExcellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detailSelf-motivated, flexible and thrives in a fast-paced environmentHighly organized, with ability to lead and manage multiple simultaneous requisitions and internal team initiativesAbility to work in a team environment, build strong relationships, influence without direct authority, and build credibility and confidence at all levelsAbility to coach and mentorProficient in Applicant Tracking Systems such as ICIMS, LinkedIn and other sourcing tools, and data analytics toolsFamiliarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment including but not limited to OFCCP, EEO/AAP/VETS requirementsThis position can be performed remotely or from any U.S. location where Gilbane has an office. Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
