Supply Planner

The Supply Planner plays a crucial role in leading the weekly business level PSI reviews and maintaining the supply plan for the business. This position focuses on achieving material cost improvements, championing supplier quality and delivery issues, and ensuring long-term supply continuity through strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the weekly business level PSI reviews in conjunction with commercial counterparts.
• Own and maintain the weekly/monthly supply plan for the business over a 12-month horizon and reconcile it against the demand and sales plan.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve material cost improvements from the global supply base.
• Champion supplier quality and resolve delivery issues.
• Partner with key vendors to secure long-term supply of critical materials based on demand plans.
• Collaborate with the Global Sourcing team to escalate supply shortages to executive management.
• Drive synergy and collaboration with other sites within the supply chain teams.
• Utilize company tools and champion continuous improvement initiatives in quality, delivery, and cost.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand expectations, minimize stock-outs, and maximize inventory turns.
• Develop tools to predict future risks, increase accuracy in supply planning, and provide insights for executive decision-making.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience owning the supply planning function, including oversight of inventory levels and collaboration with operations and commercial teams (PSI/SIOP/IBP/etc).
• Proficiency in Oracle, ideally Oracle Fusion.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
• Strong understanding and ability to explain PSI/SIOP/IBP processes.
• Experience in data entry, forecasting, material planning, negotiation, and reporting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic planning efforts (3-18 months).
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to make recommendations and influence senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
• 3+ years of experience using continuous improvement tools and methodologies, including lean conversions.

Work Environment

The position is onsite, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
