Strategic & Acquisition Ops Research Planner The applicant will perform strategic planning and policy implementation for the Commander at the United States Space Force (USSF) Innovation and Prototyping (SZI) Acquisition Delta. The position requires at least 20 years of government acquisition experience of which 5 years shall include duties/assignments specifically in support of space programs. Master’s degree in Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, and Science Technology, Engineering, or Statistics. Responsibilities The applicant will perform strategic planning and policy implementation for the Commander at the United States Space Force (USSF) Innovation and Prototyping (SZI) Acquisition Delta. This includes creating new organizational concepts, assessing unit impacts in technical, financial, and morale dimensions as well as integration impacts to the enterprise. The applicant will be responsible for developing Space Force and mission level acquisition strategies, plans, and concepts to support customers’ strategic and tactical objectives. The applicant will create new visions and messaging for the organization and cross-cutting concepts for improving portfolio management. Salary Range: $155,000 - $170,000/Year, DOE. Skills Required Minimum 20 years experience required. Proficient in M/S Office applications, including Outlook, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel. Superior verbal and written communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills required. Ability to create, cultivate, and communicate innovative concepts and courses of action anchored by expert analysis. Extensive program management experience, strategic communication/planning experience, and senior-level government space acquisition experience. Material Leader experience and/or successful completion of DAU’s PMT 401 is highly desired. Strong knowledge of the DoD protocol, acquisition, operational, and project management processes and policies. A top-secret level clearance is required. Education Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences. Employment Details Full‑Time Senior‑Level On‑site Security clearance required: Top‑Secret level.
