Location: Jamaica, NY Duration: 08/10/2026 – 11/14/2026 Shift: 8:30 AM-4:30 PM | 7.00 Hours/Day | 35.00 Hours/Week Pay range - $30/hr. - $32/hr.

Job Summary

Assists in providing dental services including: preparing patients for exam/treatment; sterilizing instruments, maintaining equipment, mixing amalgams, cements, composites, taking dental x-rays, maintaining records, performing assigned lab procedures.

Education

• A four-year High School diploma or its educational equivalent, including or supplemented by a course of study consisting of at least 600 instructional hours at an approved school for Dental Assistants. OR
• A four-year High School diploma or its educational equivalent, including or supplemented by a course of study consisting of at least 300 instructional hours at an approved school for Dental Assistants plus six (6) months of full-time satisfactory experience as a Dental Assistant performing all of the following duties:
  • Taking, developing, and mounting dental radiographs.
  • Assisting the dentist at chairside.
  • Sterilizing dental instruments using an autoclave. OR
• A four-year High School diploma or its educational equivalent plus one (1) year of full-time satisfactory experience as a Dental Assistant performing the duties listed above. OR
• A satisfactory combination of education and experience equivalent to the above requirements. However, all candidates must have at least a four-year High School diploma or GED.
• Experience as a receptionist or clerk in a dentist's office is not acceptable toward meeting the qualification requirements.
