Physician - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide gastroenterology coverage Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with weeknight beeper call
• Weekend coverage includes 24-hour call Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule 4-5 procedures per day with morning procedures Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM
• Conduct 4 hours of office time for clinic patients, seeing 1 patient every 40 minutes
• Round on hospital patients in the afternoon and complete procedures from consults
• Handle inpatient consultations and emergency department consults as needed
• Work with EMR system EPIC in a 132-bed hospital setting
• Treat adult patient population (18+ years)
• Perform standard gastroenterology procedures (no EUS or ERCP required)
• Board certification in Gastroenterology (BC or BE) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration required
• Support staff includes anesthesia on-site and physician assistant coverage during day shifts
