This includes supporting daily lab operations, performing technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements, and maintaining proper management of freezers and samples.Key Responsibilities:Conduct full inventory of all freezers, one unit at a time, using the designated Freezer Pro tracking systemImplement control over freezers when inventory is doneThermo Fisher Staff will retrieve and deliver samples to requested location and update all movements within the tracking system.Thermo Fisher staff will consolidate high-use samples into designated freezers to remain unlocked and accessible to lab personnel at all times.Conduct monthly inspections including removal of loose frost/snow using appropriate equipment and clearing of ice buildup on doorsConduct annual defrost proceduresDispose of samples lacking clear and proper identification, materials identified as outdated or no longer requiredResponsible for efficiently managing & tracking freezer inventory in a laboratory environmentEnsure accurate documentation, organization and maintenance of freezer inventoryEnsuring all items are properly stored and easily retrievable when neededMaintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records & monitor inventory levelsEffectively use the customer's inventory tracking system to ensure information is correctEnsure items are properly labeled, categorized and stored according to specific requirementsEducation and Experience:High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualificationPrevious experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2-4 years) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.Qualifications:Proven experience with freezer inventory and sample management, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.Strong knowledge of GMP regulationsFamiliarity with inventory systems, such as LIMS.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring all samples and freezers are current, compliant, and error-free.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.Working Environment:Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing for typical working hours.Able to lift and move objects up to 25 poundsAble to work in non-traditional work environments.Able to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency.May have exposure to potentially hazardous elements, typically found in healthcare or laboratory environments.Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.BenefitsWe offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
