This individual MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE BUILDING STORAGE FACILITIES FROM THE GROUND UP OR AIRPLANE HANGARS. Commercial experience is also required. In this role, you will oversee all stages of commercial construction projects from inception to completion, focusing on self-storage and multi-story commercial construction across multiple locations. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the construction process, ensuring projects are completed within the stipulated time frame and budget. Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors at different stages of the project. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations. Develop and implement project schedules, manage daily operations, and coordinate the work of all parties involved in the project. Handle on‑site issues and emergencies promptly, making necessary adjustments to ensure project continuity and efficiency. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure project goals are met. Prepare and submit regular project reports, keeping management informed about the project status and any issues that may arise. Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, promoting a safe work environment for all staff. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Traveling Superintendent with a self‑storage background. Proficient in ground‑up, commercial, multi‑story construction projects. Extensive experience in traveling roles, demonstrating the ability to manage projects in various locations. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders. Sound knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA guidelines. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents. Willingness to travel extensively as per project requirements.
