Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Operating Room to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care in the operating room setting, focusing on surgical procedures including orthopedics, spine, and general surgery.
• Assist in surgical operations by preparing and passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon.
• Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery to ensure patient safety and provide immediate care if adverse conditions develop.
• Coordinate with surgical teams to manage patient pre-operative, operative, and post-operative activities efficiently.
• Document surgical procedures and patient conditions accurately in the hospital's EPIC system.
• Participate in call requirements, providing on-call coverage as needed, in accordance with the staffing schedule.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Washington.
• Minimum two years of experience in an operating room setting, with expertise in orthopedics and spine operations required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred.
• Proficiency in EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.
• Prior experience circulating and scrubbing in a variety of surgical areas such as ENT, OB/GYN, and vascular procedures.
• Ability to thrive in a community hospital environment, managing both inpatient and outpatient surgical cases.
