The role As a Mechanical Engineer, you will design, develop, and validate the mechanical components and assemblies that make up Vale's automated matcha hardware platform. Design mechanical components and assemblies for Vale's automated hardware systems Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools Conduct tolerance analysis, FEA, and design for manufacture (DFM) analysis Build and test prototypes to validate design intent and performance Collaborate with Electrical, Firmware, and Controls engineers during integration Manage design changes, BOMs, and documentation in PLM systems Work closely with contract manufacturers to ensure design intent is maintained in production Qualifications Legally authorized to work in the United States 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience in product development or hardware design Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent 3D CAD tool Experience with DFM, GD&T, and manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, injection molding) Hands‑on prototyping experience with 3D printing and machine shop tools Experience in a food‑grade or medical device environment a plus Compensation $95,000 – $145,000 per year Benefits Company funded ORCA card Medical, dental, and vision benefits Annual bonuses Joining a fun startup in Seattle #J-18808-Ljbffr Vale Concepts
