MRI Technologist
Location: Rochester, NY
Job Type: Full time
Pay: Up to $48/hour
We are looking for a skilled and patient-focused MRI Technologist to join a high-volume breast imaging team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about patient care and diagnostic imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Explain MRI procedures and ensure patient safety.
- Review patient medical histories and MRI screening forms.
- Perform MRI scans, including IV placement and patient positioning.
- Assist radiologists with MRI-guided biopsy procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Verify MRI compatibility of implanted medical devices.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and respond calmly to emergencies.
- Deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Current state licensure required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Breast MRI experience preferred; training available.
- Injection certification preferred; training available.
- Basic computer skills; EHR and PACS experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
