Intervention Specialist (8 Openings) – Maple Heights, OH

Position: Intervention Specialist (8 Openings)
Location: Maple Heights, OH
Assignment Dates: August 6, 2026 – May 28, 2027
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week

Position Overview

We are seeking eight dedicated Intervention Specialists to join a supportive school district in Maple Heights, Ohio for the 2026–2027 school year. Opportunities are available at both the elementary and middle school levels across a variety of specialized classroom settings.

Available OpeningsElementary School

• 1 Autism Unit – Caseload: Approximately 6 students
• 2 Multiple Disabilities (MD) Units – Caseload: Approximately 8 students each
• 1 Inclusion Classroom

Middle School

• 1 Multiple Disabilities (MD) Unit – Caseload: Approximately 8 students
• 1 Emotional Disturbance (ED) Unit – Caseload: Approximately 10 students
• 1 Cross-Categorical Classroom – Caseload: Approximately 16 students
• 1 Inclusion Classroom – Caseload: Approximately 16 students

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and progress
• Differentiate instruction to meet students' academic, behavioral, and functional needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Qualifications

• Appropriate Ohio Intervention Specialist license required
• Experience working with students with Autism, Multiple Disabilities, Emotional Disturbance, or in inclusion settings is preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
