With decades of experience serving public and private customers throughout the Southeast, the company provides grading, excavation, underground utility, site development, and related infrastructure services. Position Summary

The General Manager will provide overall operational leadership across a diverse portfolio of civil construction and utility infrastructure projects. This individual will be responsible for driving profitability, safety, execution, and organizational development while building a high-performance culture that supports continued growth.

Responsibilities

* Lead overall operations and drive financial performance.

* Manage multiple crews, projects, and operating functions.

* Develop and mentor high-performing teams.

* Improve productivity, safety, and operational efficiency.

* Strengthen customer relationships and support continued growth.

* Foster a culture focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

* 10+ years of progressive civil construction experience in grading, site development, excavation, and/or underground utilities.

* 5+ years of senior operations leadership, area management, or general management experience.

* Proven success managing multiple crews, projects, or business functions simultaneously.

* Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and operational performance management.

* Demonstrated leadership in safety, people development, and continuous improvement.

* Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

* Ability to travel regularly throughout the Greater North Carolina area.

Preferred Experience

* Heavy civil construction

* Underground utilities

* Site development

* Public works and municipal infrastructure

* Experience with HCSS HeavyJob/HeavyBid, AGTEK, Bluebeam, Vista, Sage, or similar construction platforms

Location

This position is based in the Greater Charlotte, North Carolina area and requires an onsite presence. Remote work is not available.
