General Services Specialist #1202 Facilities Management | Administration Salary range: $30,930.90 - $38,662.71 per year. This range is provided by The Florida Bar. Overview Perform a variety of support and maintenance tasks within the Florida Bar campus in Tallahassee, Florida. Work includes mail center operations, print shop support, warehouse duties, building and grounds safety inspections, and routine maintenance. Light duty preventive maintenance and general facility upkeep are provided on request. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform mail center and shipping/receiving operations for incoming and outgoing mail and product deliveries (USPS/FEDEX/UPS/Common Carrier). Operate high‑speed duplicating machines and manage print shop inventory. Pick and pack warehoused materials and products for distribution and shipping. Monitor buildings and grounds continuously for hazards and security perils; report or assist with security concerns. Execute light duty preventive maintenance or routine repairs to buildings and campus appurtenances, including furniture relocation, painting, bathroom & kitchen supply refills, and ordering supplies. Complete any other related tasks as requested by team leader or management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic communication (written and verbal) and arithmetic. Customer service orientation. Understanding of postal regulations and rates. Safety principles and hazard recognition. Expertise in postal and shipping equipment. Proficiency with general office equipment and programs. General facility and grounds maintenance and repair. Independent follow of written and oral instructions. Basic arithmetical calculations. Record keeping and confidentiality. Security and safety communication. Professional conduct and self‑management. Minimum Education High School Diploma (or equivalency). Required Licensure Valid Driver’s license. Other Requirements Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs., bend, stand, and walk for long periods; available outside normal working hours.
