Job Description

Visiting Angels is seeking caring and compassionate people to work as caregivers for our organization. Our caregivers provide one-on-one care to clients throughout the west metro. We are looking for individuals with high levels of patience, kindness and determination who are able to work independently.

The Caregiver is responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our clients who may no longer be able to perform all the tasks of daily living due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability.The ideal candidate will be able to approach clients with empathy and encouragement. Caregivers are to provide companionship, conversation and engagement with clients.

Caregivers will be expected to perform tasks that will help clients with their activities of daily living. These tasks can include assisting with personal hygiene, meal planning and preparation and light housekeeping. Housekeeping tasks may include laundry, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping. Caregivers may also provide help with transportation and running errands for and/or with clients.

Visiting Angels West Metro is currently hiring for day shifts. Priority in hiring will be given to applicants who are available to work weekends. Starting pay will be $17-20 per hour, based on experience. Visiting Angels offers a $2 per hour incentive for weekend shifts of six hours or less.

Visiting Angels West Metro services communities including Minneapolis, St. Louis Park, Minnetonka and other West Metro cities.
