This job requires coordination with customers, suppliers, test facilities, and other related fields including manufacturing, subcontracts, quality, structure design, analysis, systems engineering, and integration with affected subsystems and facilities.Other duties may include:Support Subsystem Integration tasks and information requests on an as-needed basis.Assist on the conceptual development, requirements definition, and design of propulsion components and subsystems.Perform trade studies to select the appropriate design solution.Maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical analyses to support systems and components.Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team performing design trades, detailed design/analysis activity and performance and maintenance assessments of operational systems.Provide user documentation and recommendations to data packages to support peer and customer reviews, present analysis data to engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel at technical interchange meetings and design reviews.zThe information below reflects the standard job description for this position:Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or in a related discipline. 4+ years’ experience in a professional work environmentMechanical CAD modeling and/or drafting design experience using CREO or similar software and releasing engineering through EPDM or other data management system.Understanding of mechanical and propulsion engineering principles and processes.Experience with basic drafting techniques and/or requirements.Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences.Desired SkillsExperience with aerospace manufacturingExperience with tolerance stack analysisKnowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5Hardware Design experienceDFxProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practicePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
