Duration: 3 Months contract (ends on 3rd week of Dec)
Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid: Tues-Thurs in the office. Mon & Friday remote)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly creative, AI-forward Product/Interaction Designer to shape next-generation learning experiences across Gemini, NotebookLM, and Learning. The ideal candidate will independently build and refine functional AI prototypes, using tools such as AI Studio, while manipulating LLM outputs, system instructions, and adaptive experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Design innovative, non-linear conversational and AI-powered learning experiences.
Rapidly prototype concepts using AI tools and refine AI-generated front-end experiences.
Apply strong interaction design and exceptional visual/aesthetic judgment.
Explore zero-to-one concepts in ambiguous problem spaces.
Partner with teachers, researchers, and learning-science experts.
Present concepts and design rationale clearly to cross-functional stakeholders. Must-Haves:
Strong Product/UX/Interaction Design background.
Hands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI, or multimodal AI.
Proven ability to build functional AI prototypes, not just static designs.
Ability to triage and improve AI-generated front-end/UI output.
Strong visual design and interaction design skills.
Experience designing conversational, adaptive, or complex systems.
Ability to work independently at a senior/L5-L6 level. Preferred: EdTech, learning/pedagogy, AI product design, conversational UX, agentic experiences, or zero-to-one startup experience.
