Key Relationships As part of a highly cross‑functional team, this position reports to the Sr. Manager of Matter Planning and works closely with the Matter Planning team, including the Solutions, Pricing, and Legal Project Management functions. Essential Duties Evaluating and tracking alternative pricing scenarios and matter budgets using dashboards, reports, and threshold alerts to monitor performance. Designing and developing Power BI dashboards and visualizations to provide actionable insights into matter performance, budgeting, and pricing. Developing solutions to complex data analysis and reporting requirements using tools such as Excel, Power BI, HighQ, and Smartsheet, while considering the scope, limitations, and impact on other integrated solutions. Critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, decomposing high‑level information into details, abstracting up from low‑level information to a general understanding, and distinguishing user requests from the underlying true needs. Interacting with groups across the firm and working directly with attorneys, as well as Finance, Marketing, IT and other departments. Working independently with lawyers to gather and understand requirements, developing a comprehensive understanding of scope, pricing, and other key factors essential to evaluating performance. Asking strategic questions to help scope projects effectively and provide valuable insights to challenge and refine matter management and performance. Possessing strong situational awareness and the ability to diffuse difficult or contentious situations. Experience & Skills Required Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem‑solving environment. Experience in leveraging Power BI, including Power Query Editor and DAX, to transform raw data into actionable insights through meaningful visualizations and performance‑tracking reports. Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with automation tools such as Power Automate to streamline workflows, and project management tools like Smartsheet and HighQ to manage tasks, track progress, and collaborate across teams, is highly beneficial. Ability to organize, analyze and summarize large amounts of data to identify key performance indicators, trends and core concepts. Anticipate and correct problems, establish conclusions and develop creative solutions. Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities in a changing and demanding environment. Experience working both independently and in a team‑oriented environment. Ability to encourage and build positive relationships and communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with all co‑workers and outside vendors. Effectively manages and communicates confidential issues. 4 or more years within Business Analysis or Project Management (including budgeting). Prior experience with training and developing training materials. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or Information Technology or other relevant background; Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent preferred. 3>Additional Abilities Required General office environment, ability to travel to client sites, ability to work and communicate with a range of firm stakeholders. Frequent computer use at workstation or office, up to and over eight hours at a time. Frequently working at a fast pace, multitasked, with unscheduled interruptions. Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours to meet deadlines. Office contact position requiring appropriate business attire. Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor. Access information using a computer or mobile device. Carrying a mobile device and accepting calls from colleagues during non‑work hours. Compensation Salary $85,000 – $159,000. The compensation salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
