Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Special Education Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, a division of ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our award‑winning Special Education team. Salary: $110,000‑$125,000 per year (based on experience) PLUS annual education stipend $2,000. Responsibilities Provide high‑quality speech therapy services customized to students’ diagnoses and needs. Conduct direct instruction, prescriptive evaluation, and consult with parents, guardians, and home school district representatives. Write IEP goals and interventions, monitor progress toward goals, and attend IEP meetings. Evaluate students’ communication strengths and needs to design evidence‑based programs. Monitor progress using data‑driven methods and provide actionable updates. Employ age‑appropriate therapy techniques to strengthen speech, language, cognitive, and memory skills. Write comprehensive progress reports and adapt therapy services to optimize outcomes. Maintain accurate case records, session notes and billing documentation within 24 hours. Establish respectful communication with families for scheduling and issue resolution. Communicate practical strategies with parents and service providers to integrate goals into home and school routines. Conduct clinical assessments, recommend evidence‑based treatment plans, and manage implementation. Ensure timely completion of intake, ongoing evaluation, and progress toward clinical indicators. Improve service quality through staff training and mentorship. Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals and contribute to integrated care planning. Provide clinical guidance and supervision in both home and community settings. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in speech pathology or a closely related field. Currently licensed or in process of obtaining a speech‑language pathology (SLP) credential. Preferred: CA state special education instruction credential. Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company‑approved crisis management training. Prior experience providing speech therapy to children, preferably in alternative or special education settings. Well‑versed in special education services, effective teaching strategies, classroom management, data‑based decision making, and working with IEP students. Highly skilled with children having learning disabilities, emotional‑behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, or related disabilities. Proven success in developing and implementing effective treatment plans for diverse needs. Strong motivation skills and ability to conduct critical conversations with students. Excellent relationship‑building with students, parents, teachers, and community partners. Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of instructional technology, Microsoft Office, and database entry.
