Physical Therapist - School Setting in Los Angeles, CA

Make a difference for a student by providing specialized support as a part time Physical Therapist on a contract basis. Key Qualifications: Active Physical Therapist license in California Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with school staff, parents, and students Ability to design and implement individualized physical therapy plans Reliable self-starter comfortable working independently for one hour weekly Primary Responsibilities: Assess the students physical abilities and develop tailored therapy goals aligned with their Individualized Education Program (IEP) Deliver one hour of physical therapy services per week, on campus, supporting the students academic participation and mobility needs Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed, ensuring documentation remains accurate and up to date Serve as a resource for school staff and parents, offering strategies or modifications to promote the students success in the school environment Attend IEP or other relevant school meetings to report on progress and contribute to educational planning This opportunity offers a rewarding chance to focus deeply on one students success, all while keeping your schedule open for other professional or personal commitments throughout the school year.
