Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical – Kansas

Start Date: October 5, 2026 (additional orientation dates available bi-weekly through November 30, 2026)

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week. Every other weekend rotation required. Holiday rotation includes 2 federal holidays per year and 1 spring plus 2 winter non-essential holidays. Healthcare professionals may request 1 holiday off.

• 32-bed general medical inpatient unit caring for patients with respiratory, gastrointestinal, neurological, musculoskeletal diagnoses, dialysis (hemodialysis and peritoneal), sepsis, and various infections
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient staffing ratio
• Epic charting system with test-out option available
• 26-week contract preferred; longer contracts up to 51 weeks given priority consideration
• Float opportunities to other post-surgical and medical surgical inpatient floors

Requirements:

• Active Kansas or Multistate RN license (no license issues accepted, no exceptions)
• AHA BLS certification required at time of submission
• ADN or BSN degree
• Minimum 1 year of acute care medical/surgical experience required
• No first-time travelers
• Vaccination requirements: Immunity status of Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella (via titer) or proof of vaccination series completion; TDaP vaccine; Influenza vaccine or exemption during flu season; TB documentation
