Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department.

The ER RN will assess patients, prioritize care based on acuity, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered.
• Assist physicians and healthcare professionals with emergency procedures.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to critical and rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Perform emergency interventions within the RN's scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and follow-up care.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow hospital policies, procedures, and applicable nursing standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room / Emergency Department RN experience.
• Active Texas RN License OR Compact RN License required.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and emergency-response skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work the scheduled night shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM).

Required Certifications & Licensure

• TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• BLS – Basic Life Support
• NIHSS – NIH Stroke Scale / Stroke Certification
• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Texas RN License OR Compact RN License
