Production Press Operator

Overview J &O Plastics, a leading manufacturer of quality custom injection molding products, has immediate openings for full-time Machine Operators at our facility in Rittman, OH. Join our growing team. We are looking for hardworking, detail-oriented, punctual Machine Operators. You will run a plastic injection molding machine to produce parts, following procedures and instructions for routine and repetitive tasks. The goal is to ensure production procedures run smoothly to maximize efficiency while working safely, efficiently, and cooperatively as part of the J&O Plastics team. We currently have openings for Machine Operators on all 3 shifts — check out our brand-new schedule. Shifts 1st shift: 7:00 am–3:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. Fridays are "light production and days" staffed by volunteers. 2nd shift: 3:00 pm–11:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. Fridays are "light production days" staffed by volunteers. 3rd shift: 11:00 pm–7:00 am, Monday through Thursday. Fridays are "light production days" staffed by volunteers. Duties / Responsibilities Safely operating a wide range of machinery equipment Observe continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure products meet specifications Assemble boxes for filling with finished product Seal, label and palletize finished product Ability to work with hand tools Maintain a clean, neat and organized work area Follow regulations, safety guidelines, and company procedures at all times Required Skills and Abilities Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift Must be able to work in a hot-warehouse environment Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is a plus Open to cross-training in other functions/departments Basic math skills No experience needed — we will train motivated candidates Physical Requirements Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift in a seasonally changing warehouse environment Bending, lifting and kneeling Lift up to 30 pounds regularly Location J &O Plastics, a leading manufacturer of quality custom injection molding products, in Rittman, OH.
