Account Manager

Position Purpose The Account Manager is responsible for growing top‑line sales, market share, and bottom‑line profit. They differentiate Briggs Industrial Solutions' products and services from the competition, develop ongoing profitable relationships with customers, and promote the company brand. The focus is on sales of new and used equipment, parts, service, and rental within the assigned territory to ensure customer retention and satisfaction while ensuring all Briggs Industrial Solutions standards are adhered to. Principal Responsibilities and Duties Find, penetrate, design, present solutions, and close deals specific to their product vertical. Identify, meet and develop rapport with target companies to influence capital equipment purchasing decisions. Grow profitability with existing and new accounts through the sale of equipment, parts, service and rental. Assist Sales Manager in forecasting sales, setting account targets for new and used equipment, parts, service and rental. Maintain detailed account profiles and prepare sales reports as required. Meet or exceed assigned market share and profitability objectives. Design and implement a vigorous prospecting plan to find, develop and execute sales opportunities. Sell all equipment in Briggs Industrial Solutions' portfolio for the assigned vertical and geography. Enhance professional delivery by continuously increasing product, industry knowledge and interpersonal skills. Attend and participate in company‑sponsored events and industry trade shows. Build and maintain awareness of new products, services, competitor activities and market data. Perform other related duties as assigned. Excellent customer service, communication and multi‑tasking skills. Outstanding sales leadership and customer relationship building skills. Strong financial focus, including capital buying process, analysis, decision making and quantitative analysis. Assess customer patterns and adjust labor and branch focus accordingly. Thorough knowledge of systems, procedures, techniques, equipment, operations, standards and reports applicable to the branch. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and CRM tools. Previous Experience / Education Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is preferred. 1+ years of experience selling complex products, preferably in warehouse products. Strong understanding of warehouse operations: shipping and receiving, put‑away, order picking, replenishment, facilities management, throughput, cycle counting, transportation and logistics. Knowledge of supply and demand chain management fundamentals such as inbound raw material flow and outbound distribution. Proven success in designing, quoting and closing the sales of equipment and allied products. Physical Requirements Out‑of‑town travel: less than 25% Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basis.
