Senior Engineer, Automation Controls - Facilities & Engineering

AstraZeneca seeks a Senior Engineer for Automation Controls to lead facilities and process automation in a pharmaceutical environment. The role involves managing engineering projects, validation, capital investments, and ensuring GMP and regulatory compliance across critical facilities and production areas.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor technical teams in automation/controls development and engineering solutions
- Serve as asset owner for automation systems across facilities, labs, and production areas
- Direct validation strategies, protocols, and compliance documentation for regulatory standards
- Manage capital projects including upgrades, installations, and budget/schedule oversight
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for system reliability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field
- 7–10 years of automation/controls, validation, and facilities engineering experience
- Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industries
- Strong knowledge of GMP and FDA regulations
- Proven project management and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects
Compensation: $146,721.60–$220,082.40 base
