What You Will Bring to the Role: Proven experience in general cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries Proficiency in coronary artery bypass, valve repairs/replacements, aneurysm repair, lung resections, and related procedures Skilled in managing ventilation, bronchoscopy, and acute vascular/blood pressure issues Strong documentation skills with experience using EPIC system Ability to handle a full caseload with professionalism and clinical excellence Additional Skills That Would Enhance Your Candidacy: Experience in congenital defect repairs Familiarity with chest wall/pleural procedures and esophageal/diaphragm surgeries Knowledge of perioperative and ICU management strategies Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery Active medical license in Ohio or eligibility for licensure Prior hospital-based surgical experience, ideally within acute care settings Other Requirements: Availability to start from May 28, 2026, with ongoing coverage for at least 2 months, with potential for sporadic shifts thereafter Participation in on-call rotations with flexible scheduling Compensation at $19.50 per hour, plus benefits including weekly pay, comprehensive medical coverage, paid sick time, licensure and travel reimbursements, and referral bonuses Must adhere to travel and lodging policies, with bookings within the specified reimbursement limits This is a fantastic opportunity to support a high-volume, full-service hospital in Springfield, OH, and to contribute to a dedicated healthcare team committed to excellence.
